In order to properly configure Microsoft Outlook, you will need to know your username and password. The username is simply your full email address ( todd@mywebsite.net ). Your password is set to a default value when your account is created, but you may reset it at any time using the web based email interface.
In Outlook, create a new profile by opening "Mail" in the Control Panel. To find it easily, open the control panel and then search for Mail:
In the dialog that opens, Click E-mail Accounts:
Then, click new:
Select the radio button for "Manually configure server settings or additioanl server types" and then click Next:
When asked to choose a service, select Internet E-mail
Next, you will need to enter your email account information. Be sure to use your own domain in place of mywebsite.net. Also, remember that your username is your full account name. After you have entered the fields as shown below, click "More Settings"
On the Outgoing Server tab, check the box for "My outgoing server (SNTP) requires authentication" and the radio button for "Use same settings as my incoming mail server".
Next, click on the "Advanced" tab.
Leave the Incoming Server port as is.
Change the Outgoing server (SMTP) to port 825. The default port of 25 will normally work, but since some ISPs block 25, Click Logic recommends using 825 instead.
Check the box for "Leave a copy of messages on the server" and "Remove from server after 14 days".
Click the OK button
Back on the "Add New Account" screen, click the Next button. Many versions of Outlook will test the settings. If any errors are reported, double check the settings. If errors are still reported, please to contact Click Logic.
